Why Donate With Us

Donate Old Business Laptops in London & Across the UK

The UK generates approximately 1.65 million tonnes of electronic waste every year, making it the second-largest producer of e-waste per capita in Europe at 24.5 kg per person annually (UN Global E-waste Monitor 2024). Despite this, the UK's official e-waste recycling rate stands at just 31%, meaning more than two-thirds of discarded electronics do not pass through responsible disposal channels. Material Focus estimates that 20.7 million unused but working tech items, worth a potential £5.63 billion, are currently sitting unused in UK homes alone.

Every year, thousands of businesses refresh their IT fleets, leaving behind working laptops, desktops, tablets and peripherals with nowhere to go. Landfill is costly, irresponsible, and increasingly non-compliant with UK waste regulations.

TechForAll Foundation offers a better route. Through our partner, every device is securely wiped to HMG IS5 and ISO/IEC 27040 standards before being redirected into digital skills training programmes for young people in The Gambia and migrants and refugees in the UK.

The result: zero e-waste from your business, full data security, and a documented social value return you can include in your annual CSR report.

Data Security

Secure Asset Data Sanitisation & GDPR-Compliant Disposal

Every device we receive is passed to our partner, who processes it through a rigorous data erasure protocol to HMG IS5 and ISO/IEC 27040 standards before it enters our training programme. Corporate data security is handled with the same rigour and accountability as your own IT team.

  • HMG IS5 and ISO/IEC 27040 data erasure, carried out by our partner to UK government and international standards before any device is reused.
  • Asset tracking throughout, each device is logged from receipt through processing to deployment or destruction.
  • Responsible destruction, devices that cannot be reused are disposed of via certified WEEE-compliant recyclers.
  • Certificate of data destruction, provided on request for your compliance and audit records.
