What We Provide

TechForAll Foundation delivers four interconnected programmes: digital skills training, technology access, mentoring and employability, and community partnerships. Together they create a complete support pathway, taking people from digital exclusion to genuine opportunity.

Our Four Programmes

Turning technology into opportunity

Digital exclusion is not a single problem. It is a combination of no devices, no skills, no confidence, and no clear way into work. That is why our four programmes are designed to work together, each one addressing a different part of the challenge and all of them pointing people towards a better future.

Digital Skills Training

Practical, hands-on training for everyday technology use, workplace software and online safety, including for those starting from scratch.

Digital Skills Training

Many migrants, refugees and young people in under-resourced communities have never had consistent access to a computer or the internet. In a world where job applications, healthcare appointments, banking and communication all happen online, this is a fundamental barrier to taking part in everyday life.

We deliver practical, inclusive digital skills training designed to meet people where they are, whether that is picking up a device for the very first time or building the confidence to use workplace technology effectively.

Training is delivered through our IT hub in The Gambia and through community-based sessions supporting migrants and refugees in the UK. All sessions are free, practical and connected to real-life needs.

  • Computer basics and internet navigation
  • Email, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Online safety and digital privacy
  • Job boards and online application systems
  • Video calling and workplace communication tools
  • IT fundamentals for learners building careers in technology

Programme Two

Technology Access

You cannot learn to use technology you do not have. Many low-income households, including newly arrived migrants and refugees in the UK, have no laptop, no desktop and no reliable device of their own. In The Gambia, entire villages have no access to functioning computers at all. Training can only go so far without the equipment to back it up.

We give technology a second life. Through relationships with companies, schools and individual donors, we collect suitable IT equipment, refurbish it to a reliable working standard and direct it into education, training and community learning where it is needed most.

This work carries a second benefit: by extending the useful life of devices, we reduce electronic waste. Every laptop that reaches a learner instead of a landfill is a genuine win for both the environment and the person who receives it, in keeping with our sustainability values and our commitment to UN SDG 12 on responsible consumption.

  • Laptops, desktops and peripherals accepted from donors
  • All devices assessed, repaired and restored to good working order
  • Data securely wiped before any device is reused
  • Equipment deployed into IT labs and community training sessions
  • E-waste reduced through responsible IT reuse
  • Corporate device donation programmes available for businesses

Mentoring and Employability

Digital skills alone do not guarantee employment. Many migrants and refugees in the UK face additional barriers in the labour market, including unfamiliarity with UK job application processes, limited professional networks and uncertainty about how to present their experience to a British employer. Young people in The Gambia face a different version of the same problem: skills and ambition, but no clear route into a technology career.

Our mentoring and employability support bridges the gap between training and work. We combine practical tools including CV writing, interview preparation and job search guidance with one-to-one mentoring from people already working in technology who know exactly what employers are looking for.

Getting a job matters, but so does the confidence to pursue a career in technology knowing that someone who has walked that path is there to support you.

  • CV writing tailored to UK employers
  • Job application support and cover letter writing
  • Interview preparation and mock interview practice
  • Workplace technology confidence building
  • One-to-one mentoring from practising IT professionals
  • Signposting to roles in IT, tech support and digital services

Programme Four

Community Partnerships

Digital exclusion affects millions of people and no charity can reach them all alone. The communities we work with, including migrants, refugees and young people in under-resourced areas, are often the hardest to reach through conventional channels. Sustainable impact requires working with the organisations already trusted by those communities.

We build active partnerships with a wide range of organisations: charities and refugee support services, schools and colleges, hospitals and health centres, businesses and social enterprises, corporate technology companies and community funders. Each partnership is built on a shared commitment to digital inclusion and a genuine connection to the people we serve.

Partnerships extend our reach, but they also deepen our work. When we combine resources with organisations that know their communities well, we can deliver more relevant, more sustained and more effective support. And so can they.

  • Delivery partnerships with schools, colleges and community organisations
  • Corporate CSR and IT equipment donation programmes
  • Co-funded projects with charities and grant-giving bodies
  • Mentoring partnerships with technology employers
  • International partnerships supporting our Gambia programmes
